I’ve owned a small property on West Beach in Gulf Shores since 2020. It has a north and south-facing deck, and honestly, the deck was starting to look worn out — paint peeling, rust spots on the nail heads, and some spindles needed replacing. It was definitely time for an upgrade. The project ended up costing over $40,000, which I wasn’t thrilled about, especially since the original quote was in the mid-thirties. Unfortunately, part of the deck secured to the house had rotted and couldn’t be reused as the base for my new deck. When Tim’s crew discovered this, I was glad I saw the pictures — they showed exactly what needed to be done. Though it was a hefty expense, Tim’s honesty, expertise, and clear communication throughout the process made it all worthwhile. Weather here can be tough on outdoor structures, and I want my deck to last. Hiring Tim was definitely the smartest move I made for this project.

As an out-of-town owner, I feel completely comfortable having Tim oversee work on my beach house. The deck looks amazing in the photos, and visitors have shared how great it is. I’ll definitely ask Tim to handle more projects for me when he has the time — I trust his work and professionalism.

This isn’t the first project Tim Evans and Harris Projects have completed for us, and we’ve been very happy with the results. Tim replaced the interior LVP flooring and all of the outside wood decking, and everything was finished on time and to a very high standard. He kept us informed throughout the process, giving daily updates and addressing any issues promptly. The cost was very reasonable, and I’ll definitely be calling him again for future projects.
